Today is tour Philadelphia day.
Got off to a late start. Supposed to leave at 7am but we left at around 8am.
Drove to Jersey via the Walt Whitman bridge. Went up the east side of the river to Camden NJ.
Checked out the USS New Jersey. Scared shitless when they fired one of the 5-inch guns
Checked out the 76ers Practice Facility – closed. Legends Walk – statues of 76er legends – is located inside the facility and not open to the public.
Crossed over back to Philadelphia via the Benjamin Franklin bridge.
Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Rocky Balboa statue.
Lucked out on parking.

Drove up the 76 to King of Prussia Mall.
Modell’s, Dick’s and Lindt’s!
GPS went nuts.
Back to Center City.
Parked at Independence National Park.
Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Gallery at Second Bank.
Xenos Souvenir shop – interesting racist Chinese shopkeeper. Buy a plate for Mom.
Century 21 on Market Street
Dunkin’ Donuts.
City Hall
Luckily got to Oyster House around 4:30pm. Even though Happy Hour starts at 5pm, we were able to get seated by the picture window.
Buck a Shuck oysters and huge raw Cherrystone clams. 18 oysters and a dozen clams. Was able to get shoyu on the second round.
Back to City Hall.
Reading Terminal closed at 6pm.
Walk back to the car.
Back to the Hotel.
Walk to Navy Yard for sunset.
Starbuck’s at the hotel lounge.
Pack up, watch Bucks-Celtics.
Get some sleep – long drive up to Manhattan in the morning.
