A fantastic evening of song and dance was presented by the talented and dedicated members of the Hawaiiana Club and the Boarders’ Chorus of Lahainaluna. Despite the fierce winds of Kauaula trying its best to blow out the torch of Lahainaluna, the show went on without a hitch!
The theme of the program centered on the island of Kauai, as well as one of bridging the past to the future. Longtime advisor Aunty Lori Gomez-Karinen passed the torch of her leadership of the David Malo Day program to co-advisor Ilima Greig-Hong and Kumu Pomaikai Krueger, who will continue to promote and celebrate the vision and tradition that is David Malo Day for many years to come.
