Congratulations to my niece Challys Pascual on winning the $15,000 Juror's Choice Award at the Schaefer Portrait Challenge 2025 at the MACC! What an amazing accomplishment for this recent UH Manoa graduate who entered the contest just a few days before the deadline at the urging of her mentor. There is also a Peoples' Choice Award, so go check out the wonderful portrait she painted of her grandma Vicky Anbe and vote for Challys! The exhibit is at the Schaefer International Gallery at the MACC and will be open to the public from January 14-March 22, 2025 and is open Tueday-Saturday 10am-4pm. Yay Challys!
