Late inning action from softball game between the Pearls JV and Titans JV at Central Maui Regional Sports Center. Due to COVID-restrictions, shooting conditions were challenging as non-participants were not allowed near the field and I had to shoot from an upper level parking lot. Unfortunately, the view from the open parking space I found was obscured by the back of the scoreboard lol. I made my way north and found a spot looking down the right field line. Fortunately, Coach Aloha saw me and offered me the use of his wristband which would allow me to enter a restricted area between the temporary outfield fence and the permanent fenceline. I was glad to be able to shoot closer to the action, and to be able to shoot from a lower vantage point (although shooting through the plastic mesh netting of the temporary fence wreaked havoc on my autofocus system. Still, it was difficult to get shots of faces. Shooting sports, in fact anything that has to do with life, is about adapting, conceding and making adjustments in the COVID-19 era. #SonyRX10MkIV
