The Lady Lunas suffer their first loss of the season in the MIL Tournament Championship game against Baldwin 7-8. After spotting Baldwin 2 goals, the Lady Lunas roared back to take a 5-2 lead at the half. Early in the third, Lunas continued to roll as Lalelei Mataafa scored on a penalty shot to make it 6-2. Right after that goal, she suffered a cramp and took herself out of the game. At that point, she was ejected from the game for an illegal substitution. Baldwin took advantage and held on for a 9-8 win, forcing a winner-take-all rematch for the overall championship.
