The JV Lady Lunas almost pulled off an upset of perennial ILH power Punahou's varsity squad at the Moanalua basketball tournament. However, after twin #2 Abby Akamine went down with a sprained ankle early in the 3rd quarter and was unable to return, the Lunas were without a key ball-handler and rebounder. Punahou was able to overtake the Lunas in the 4th quarter, en route to a 38-33 win.
