Action from NCAA women's college basketball game between San Jose State and Northern Arizona University at the Lahaina Civic Center. San Jose dug themselves a deep hole in the first quarter, falling behind 26-10 before ramping up the defensive pressure led by senior captain and former Lahainaluna great Fieme'a Hafoka. Her aggressive, disruptive defense was a familiar sight as she harrassed ball-handlers and disrupted passing lanes with numerous deflections and causing several traveling calls. After getting to within 2 with a few minutes left, the Spartans could not capitalize on several good looks at the basket in the waning minutes, and the Lumberjacks took the game. So proud of Fieme'a Hafoka and her success on the court and in the classroom as she is on track to get her degree. Bigger and better things lie ahead for Me'a!
