BACKSTORY: My 7:30am flight out of OGG was delayed to 8:30am, so Madelyn and I jumped on to the 8:00am flight. Luckily, we were able to snag the last seats left in the Emergency Row. After picking up the car rental, I picked up some drinks at Fisher Hawaii then manapua, pork hash and rice cakes at Shin Cheon Yang Bakery in Chinatown. Knowing that I would have little to no opportunities to eat, I gulped down a manapua, rice cake and pork hash as I drove on the H-1 to drop off my wife at her college friend's house in Pearl City. Then it was an hour drive to Laie. I was already running late due to my flight and I didn't arrive until just after 11am. The parking lot was packed and I had to park my little Prius on the muddy grass field. By the time I figured out where to go, it was already 11:20pm. The media entrance happened to be right where all the wrestlers assembled before heading to their mats. I had to pee badly, but when I saw Kivah Caballero get ready to take the mat, I knew that Nature had to wait. Then it was back-to-back-to-back matches as numerous Lunas were competing in the semifinals and consolation matches. It wasn't until an hour after I arrived that I was able to empty my bladder lol.The perils of getting old. On the bright side, no one kicked me off the floor and I was able to use my 100-400mm f/4.5 Z lens quite capably in the arena.
