The Lunas lost a heartbreaker in the MIL Tournament Play-In game between #4 KSM and #5 Lahainaluna. The Lunas had a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh thanks to a gutsy pitching performance from Vincent Iwamura. Unfortunately, KSM executed their bunts to perfection and a few bounces of the ball and calls did not go the Lunas’ way as the Warriors rallied for 2 runs in win the game 3-2. Thus, the season came to an abrupt end for an exceptional group of Lahainaluna seniors. We will miss them and the joy for baseball and each other that they brought every game.
