What a game! The Lady Lunas stepped up for a 6-2 win in extra innings against Maui High. In a well-played game that saw great pitching, clutch defense and timely hitting by both teams, the Lunas broke open a scoreless game when Kaylee Harmon drove in 2 runs for a 2-0 lead in the 6th inning. Maui High came right back to tie it 2-2 in an inning that saw the Lunas' senior leader go down after a collision with a Maui High runner while going for the ball. The Lunas had a chance to take the lead in the top of the 7th but a shoestring catch by Maui High's centerfielder and her throw home got the Lunas' Ariana Badua for the inning/rally-ending double play. The Lunas broke through for 4 runs in the top of the 8th to win 6-2.
