The Lady Lunas were playing a great game, taking a 4-1 lead after 5 innings behind solid pitching from Mackenzie Alexander and timely hitting from several players, capped by Kaohe Sombelon-McEwen's towering opposite field homer to right field in the bottom of the 5th. Unfortunately, Maui High's big bats awoke in the 6th inning, and combined with miscues by the Lady Lunas in the field, Maui High rallied big time and took the lead for good, handing the Lady Lunas a tough loss on their home field.
