Early inning action in an MIL softball game between Lahainaluna and KSM. Thankfully, this game was played at KSM and was scheduled in-between Lahainaluna's 1st and 2nd flag football games down at KSM's stadium. The Lady Lunas got off to a good start, taking a 2-0 lead. I thought my curse was broken. But it wasn't. KSM came back to take the lead at 3-2, eventually taking a 5-2 lead after 2 innings before I decided to take my curse and go down to the stadium for flag football. Sure enough, the moment I was gone, the Lady Lunas went on a 12-2 run to take a 14-7 lead while I was gone. After the football game,my gear was soaked so I took my gear directly back to my car and went back to the gym to use the bathroom before my 1 hour drive to Makena for MIL golf. That's when I found out the softball was still going on. At that point, the Lunas were leading 14-11, heading to the bottom of the 7th. I didn't have my camera with me, so I stayed up above by the gym area, watching the game from the wall. Once I saw Casey Ross walk one of the KSM batters, I decided it was time for me and my curse to get the heck out of there. Sure enough, the Lady Lunas were able to hang on for the win, 14-13.
