Shots from the early heats of the MIL Surfing Meet #4 at Lahaina Harbor. I was using a 1.4x teleconverter with my Nikon 400mm f/2.8 AF-S EF-ID II lens on a Nikon D4S (max. aperture f/4). Shots seemed very soft. Next time, I'll try without the teleconverter wide open at 2.8. I had to dig out at 9:30pm to go to Kihei to shoot the MIL Water Polo tournament championship game between Lahainaluna and Baldwin.
