Lahainaluna finish the 2016 MIL regular season with a 42-0 win over King Kekaulike on a windy and wet Homecoming Night, their final home game of the season. Radon Sinenci scored a bunch of touchdowns . . . unfortunately, none of them came in my direction lol. When OL/Kicker/QB Pablo "Slash" Rico tossed/lobbed a pass to Siale Hafoka for a 2-point conversion in the first quarter, Lahainaluna set an unofficial MIL record with their 10th quarterback seeing action on the field! From rainbows to 25 mph winds with gusts of 38 mph and rain all night that seemed to go sideways, nothing could damper the spirit of Lahainaluna celebrating their Homecoming and final home game for the seniors at Sue Cooley Stadium. We were blessed by the presence of our stadium's benefactor Sue Cooley at the game despite the conditions. Best of all, most of the Lahainaluna crowd stayed all the way to the end, despite the 42-0 score, and were able to witness an all-Senior defense on the field playing at home for the very last time.
