Couldn't resist reuniting with former WormBows/BoyzNSkool/Loosiers/Pest Doctors/ Mala Blues teammates from UH/Summer League days Edwin Pascual and Roland Prieto (and countless driveway sessions at Tom's House), along with 6th Grader Aidan Prieto to take on the Young 'uns Shane Ramos, Shawn Abut, Joshua Calaoagan and Alex Rodriguez for some 4-on-4 half court action at the Lahaina Civic Center "Dream Court." Haven't had this much cardio in years lol. Literally. My Fitbit went off the charts, with an average heartrate of 153 bpm, maxing at 177. I was more concerned about my Achilles - I try to avoid jumping and hard cuts lol. Luckily Edwin "Granville Waiters" Pascual still plays like he's 20-frickin' years old, still has his hops and his fundamental bank shot and our little 6th grader coolly drained two 3's and had a nice give-and-go layup. We won both games (to 11 and to 7) and more importantly, I didn't have to be carried off the court. I still had water polo, Big Boyz Football and a baseball game to shoot, so if you saw me at these events and I looked like I was hanging, this was the reason lol.
